  • Horseshoe Bend River Access 2341 190th Ave Milford, IA, 51351 United States (map)

Interested in aquatic life of the Little Sioux River? Join us at Horseshoe Bend River Access on Wednesday, July 22nd at 9:00AM to learn from Dickinson County Conservation Board Naturalist Ashley Tieden as attendees are detailed how macroinvertebrates in the Little Sioux River impact the food chain as well as water quality. As this event will be outdoors, attendees are encouraged to dress appropriately for weather.

Ashley Tieden grew up on the shores of Rathbun Lake in Southern Iowa in a family full of outdoorsmen, farmers, and natural resource professionals, which influenced her dedication to natural resource conservation and preservation from a very young age. In particular, water quality and habitat became a primary focus for her as she pursued a career in natural resources. Ashley is grateful to be the newest addition to the Dickinson County Conservation Board education team, and hopes to share her knowledge and passion for the world around her with people from all walks of life.
