Interested in the fish of Northwest Iowa? Join us on Thursday, July 23rd, at 10:00AM to learn from Iowa DNR Fisheries Biologist Ben Wallace as he demonstrates the use of electrofishing equipment at Gabrielson Park just south of Sioux Rapids. As this event will be outdoors, attendees are encouraged to dress appropriately for weather.

Ben Wallace received his B.S. in Animal Ecology (Fisheries) from Iowa State University in 2007 and an M.S. in Fisheries and Wildlife Science from North Carolina State University in 2010.  Ben was hired as the Fisheries Management Biologist in April of 2010.  He manages fish populations in all the public waterbodies for the Black Hawk Fish Management District for the Iowa DNR, which covers 12 counties in northwest Iowa.
